Introduction to the Family

A lot of folks know us, and they will vouch that these names totally suit our family. First, with a last name like Quackhead, you must imagine that we are a tad on the crazy side. Let me go ahead and confirm your notion. WE ARE CRAZY! Hence the name, Quackhead!

First, let's introduce you to King Quack, the fair ruler of our land. He is kind, generous and ever so lenient. In fact he is so lenient that the phrase "wait till your daddy gets home" is a joke in our household. But that is ok. Because as we all know, behind every great man, there is an equally great woman.

Enter Queen Quack. Queen Quack is quite strict but also fun. She loves her children very much and would do anything for them, including subjecting herself to their incessant ramblings around the clock. As all homeschooling mamas can tell you - this is definitely the job you love to hate - oh but love to love as well. Queen Quack is definitely the nuttiest of the bunch - but wait, King Quack did choose her for his Queen, so maybe HE is the nuttiest? Hmmmm, more thoughts on that later.

Now let's meet the little Quacks. Firstborn, Quack-a-booty, is a sweet mannered child with the love of Christ coursing through her veins. She is mature, loving, and mild mannered. However, Quack-a-booty has also just been invited to enter "Teenagedom" and we are weighing the pros and cons of letting her live to see those days.

Second and third born twins, Quack-a-hootie and Quack-a-doodle are wonderful in their own rights. Quack-a-hootie is, well, a laugh a minute. She is definitely the life of any party and she loves being in the lime-light. Quack-a-doodle is very artistic and extremely "artist" minded. Do not dare give her a logic problem to solve - she just can't. But give her a logic problem to illustrate and boy will she knock your socks off.

All in all, the Quackhead family is made up of wonderful individuals who, on their own probably look kinda like everyone else. But once you put them all together, you have the recipe for one BEAUTIFUL family.

Blessings to all!

Queen Quack

Bread is good . . . so very, very good!

So I am a horrible blogger. I don't post regularly and I don't post on topic. But  . .  .BOY do we have fun! This past week we made our first big batch of homemade bread. Take a peek:

Aren't these cinnamon buns just scrumptious looking. Of course I forgot to take pictures until after we had already dug in for the long haul. But still! Yummy, yummy! Wonderful whole grains in our tummies! Now look at the next loaf! Yep, we ate half the loaf at the "15 minute" mark. Oh my oh my! And then last, but definitely not least! Take a gander at this gorgeous cinnamon bread below. WOWSA! It is totally awesome to whip up a great batch of french toast using this loaf. I can't believe I am the one making all this. Totally awesome! I really, really thank God for giving us these abilities.
Well, happy New Year to all my friends.
I know I intend on sharing the goodness of God's creations with all my family and friends in the upcoming year. I hope you will join me in enjoying the little things He grants us each and every day!

Till next time, my darlings! Happy New Year and God Bless!
